Current Research:
Statistical machine learning, high dimensional estimation, matrix completion, clinical healthcare analytics, Learning to Rank (LETOR) in collaborative filtering, convex optimization.
Interested in exploring:
Approximate algorithms and distributed estimation for high dimensional learning problems: accuracy-computation tradeoff, smart-greedy algorithms.
Semi-supervised and multi-task learning applications in healthcare and bioinformatics: structured prediction and LETOR, prediction from weak/noisy supervision, transfer learning, active learning.
Privacy preserving learning algorithms for ecommerce and healthcare applications.
